Krishna: My name is G Vamsi Krishna and I have done B.Tech in Mechanical. Needless to say how difficult it is for a Mechanical student to get a job. After Engineering, it took six months to get placed. However I received n number of calls for interviews which was a positive sign. Finally I am placed in Accenture.
Aspiring Minds:What difficulties did you face while searching for a job and how did you overcame those difficulties?
Krishna: First difficulty which I was facing was having lack of information. It was always difficult to find a reliable source of information for Off-Campus drives. It is very tough to crack the written when you are attending off campus drives.
Aspiring Minds: Tell us about your experience post giving the AMCAT test and how AMCAT helped you in getting the job at Accenture?
Krishna: I took AMCAT when I was in final year and I received three to four interview calls from different well-known MNCs based on my AMCAT score. I was directly called for interview not for written test. This was a big relief for me.
Aspiring Minds:Would you suggest other job seekers to take AMCAT? If yes, why
Krishna: I strongly recommend taking AMCAT.
Aspiring Minds: Would you like to share some tips which can help other job seekers in getting a good job?
Krishna: Take AMCAT in final year of graduation. Attend every interview for which you invited, even if you are not willing to join. Never bound yourself to one typical Industry. Take up any job with decent salary, whether it is an IT job or a Marketing one. There is always something to learn and enlighten your knowledge. Last but not the least, do not stop learning.
