Aspiring Minds: Tell us something about yourself and your career goals.

Shamweel: My name is Shamweel Anjum. I have completed Engineering from UPTU and I am presently working as a Trainee Associate Software Engineer at MphasiS. I want to establish myself as a Software Engineer and contribute to the technological advancement in the IT industry.

Aspiring Minds: What difficulties did you face while searching for a job and how did you overcame those difficulties?

Shamweel:There are different eligibility criteria for each company and the process of short listing the candidates is based on past academic records. However, the employability test designed by AMCAT helped me to know my weaknesses and strengths and helped me to improve my employability. It also provided me with a current score card which is used by different companies.

Aspiring Minds: Tell us about your experience post giving the AMCAT test and how AMCAT helped you in getting the job at MphasiS?

Shamweel: After taking AMCAT, I got a detailed analytical report of my current employability. I focussed over the sections which needed to be brushed up and it helped me out to grab the very first opportunity and it was provided by AMCAT.

Aspiring Minds: Would you suggest other job seekers to take AMCAT? If yes, why

Shamweel: Certainly, I would suggest every job seeker to take the AMCAT employability test. The beauty of AMCAT doesn't only lie in the numerous opportunities it provides but also in the detailed employability report that proves to be the most helpful guidance one may need to get employed.

Aspiring Minds: Would you like to share some tips which can help other job seekers in getting a good job?

Shamweel: Don't restrict yourself to the domain knowledge. Soft skills are the most important factors that affect the employability of a candidate. Work hard and don’t forget to take AMCAT. Best Wishes.
