Aspiring Minds: Tell us something about yourself and your career goals.
Jai: Well, I am about to be an engineering graduate with CSE in June 2015. I like to play cricket with my friends. I like to socialize with people. My career goal is to understand the IT world and its functioning and contribute my innovative thoughts which can help the society and common people.
Aspiring Minds: What difficulties did you face while searching for a job and how did you overcame those difficulties?
Jai: I have faced lot of difficulties while searching job. I had good technical knowledge but wasn’t so good in communication skills and English vocabulary. Hence, I used to get disqualified in the first round of recruitment process more often. Then, I started reading newspaper daily with a dictionary in one hand and simultaneously used to grasp the tough words. And for technical part, as I my area of interest is Java, I used to concentrate more on Java fundamentals and mentioned in my resume too.
Aspiring Minds: Tell us about your experience post giving the AMCAT test and how AMCAT helped you in getting the job at FSS Global?
Jai: I am very much thankful to AMCAT team to come up with this kind of employability test. With good AMCAT scores, I started getting the recognition from many big and small IT companies out of a crowed of job seekers. And that’s all I needed at that time because I was fed up of the walk-in recruitment drives where for a single vacancy hundreds of job seekers used to come. One day, I got an interview call letter from FSS Global. I attended the interview process and got selected.
Aspiring Minds: Would you suggest other job seekers to take AMCAT? If yes, why
Jai: Yes, definitely I would suggest all job seekers to take AMCAT. This test checks your ability in both technical and soft skills knowledge. With good AMCAT scores, one would definitely get interview calls from top IT companies and one can get a good job with lesser effort.
Aspiring Minds: Would you like to share some tips which can help other job seekers in getting a good job?
Jai: I would suggest everyone to read newspaper daily and improve your communication skills because this is what a top IT company expects from us along with technical knowledge. One must have in depth knowledge in at least one core subject or programming language like java, dot net, etc.
