Aspiring Minds: Tell us something about yourself and your career goals.
John: I graduated from Lovely Professional University as B.Tech-Hons CSE 2014 batch with a CGPA of 9.25 holding rank amongst toppers within the B Tech-Hons CSE programme. I desire to be a staunch prospicient of technological geek-world. Being already familiar with applications of JavaScript, Python, Java, I-phone App Development and beyond or less, I prospect to have a nice time at Snapdeal.
Aspiring Minds: What difficulties did you face while searching for a job and how did you overcame those difficulties?
John: The worst scenario for any B.Tech pass out student is the limitation in top tier opportunities i.e. companies with genuine packages are rare here. And the struggle that I had to make was to find out a decent offer in Delhi NCR and AMCAT helped me getting that offer.
Aspiring Minds: Tell us about your experience post giving the AMCAT test and how AMCAT helped you in getting the job at Snapdeal?
John: Since I have out shown best results at AMCAT Test, I was easily shortlisted for the drive with no trouble. I was familiar with the coding AUTOMATA test of AMCAT which was the first round for Snapdeal as well. Though I underperformed in that but my approach for the programs was commendable. Rest was the extensive puzzle solving ability, clean hand at data structures, reasonable project work and use of huge number of technologies in curriculum projects which got me through the interview process. There can never be such an awesome platform for private institution graduates as AMCAT is.
Aspiring Minds: Would you suggest other job seekers to take AMCAT? If yes, why
John: I will mandatorily advice each private institution passing out graduate to take AMCAT because of numerous reasons circumventing least opportunities, huge competition, corporate demands, AMCAT’s genuine effort etc.
Aspiring Minds: Would you like to share some tips which can help other job seekers in getting a good job?
John: The best way to clear a technical interview is to be prepared beforehand with all technologies that are in demand of the company. Also, data structures are something you can never leave out of your preparation. Snapdeal has a great thirst of puzzles and data structures in particular.
