AMCAT Hosts National Employability Conclaves in Five Cities Across India

Aspiring Minds hosted National Employability Conclave 2012-13 around the theme "Nurturing fresh talent towards greater employability". The conclave was held in Pune, Hyderabad, Delhi, Bangalore and Kolkata. The conclave was held in collaboration with Dun & Bradstreet - India. With an aim to provide a single platform, hosting a rich interface between the opportunity providers and the talent custodians - the Career Gurus (Training and Placement Officers), the Employability Conclave offered an opportunity to TPOs and HRs to reflect on employability issues, suggest solutions and gain fresh insights into the Employer's perspective of potential recruits. The conclave was attended by HR leaders from IT as well as Engineering companies like Zensar Technologies, Bharat Forge, I V R C L Infrastructures & Projects Limited, CA Technologies, Sapient, HCL Technologies, VinSol, DBOI, Accenture, ITC Infotech, Cognizant Technology Solutions, International Combustion(India) Ltd. to name a few. More than 600 Head of Training and Placement Cells, principals, directors and professors of premier institutes across India participated in this conclave.

In the conclave, HR leaders of some of the largest IT and engineering companies shared an employer's perspective on shaping the young talent to meet their expectations. Varun Aggarwal, co-founder and director, Aspiring Minds discussed about the opportunities and challenges in reducing the employability gap. Highly experienced corporate trainers conducted interactive skill building session as a part of the conclave's vision of providing rich platform for everyone for sharing their challenges and arriving at solutions together.
